As this is my favourite children's book of the day, I just had to get it for him and I thought it was the perfect introduction to books and story telling.Initially I thought I received a damaged product since sound buttons were not working, even tried after changing battery position. The ideal gift for all Gruffalo fans, The Gruffalo Sound Book is also the perfect introduction to this family favourite .

Her other books include Room on the Broom, Stick Man and Zog, illustrated by Axel Scheffle r, The Hospital Dog , illustrated by Sara Ogilvie and the hugely successful What the Ladybird Heard adventures, illustrated by Lydia Monks. This is a fab book for young children; the story is lovely, and the sound buttons are a great way of involving the child in the story-telling process.I was a little disappointed as it only makes noises of the animals when the music notes are pushed I find it hard to push never mind a four year old. I felt they enhanced the story quite nicely, although a lot of people seem to be saying they found it distracting. We havwe been receiving our storybook subscription for around 18 months and I can't see us stopping anytime soon.
